4 Hidden Horror Gems on Netflix June 2017

Have you ever sat down  after a long days work and just wanted to kick off your shoes, sit down with a cup of tea and watch some horror. Good horror films are hard to find now and with so much choice on Netflix it can be a chore trawling through page after page trying to find something worth watching. Well here are 4 horror films on Netflix this month you should get your peepholes round.

Tucker and Dale VS Evil

This isn’t your typical Horror film or even your typical comedy film. This takes everything you know about that stale teen horror movie genre and turns it on it’s side. It’s all a case of misunderstanding as a bunch of teens mistake Tucker and Dale for being your “Deliverance” type of forest dwellers when that couldn’t be further from the truth. Well worth a watch.

The Descent

This film is a bit like Twiglets. Some people love them and some people don’t understand what all the fuss is about. We loved The Descent when it first hit screens in 2005. Six friends on a spelunking expedition end up trapped but something else is lurking in the shadows underground. Its a British Cult film and well worth a viewing.

The Babadook

This is a great Australian horror film and it genuinely made us check our cupboards and hear strange noises during the night. It was all in our heads of course but you know its a good film when it makes you forget your an adult man for a short period of time. A young boy comes across a dark pop up book and unleashes something far more sinister than children stories. Thats all we’re going to say about it. Watch it now before there is an American remake and ruin it!

The Human Centipede: First Sequence

(We’re not putting an image in here for obvious reasons!)

You will have heard of this one. This is dark and gritty. We don’t want to go into it too much here about what goes on but if you have a strong stomach then we suggest you get this lined up on your Netflix account right now. If you make it all the way to the end and want more then the Human Centipede 2 is on Netflix to. If you still want more then The Human Centipede 3 is also hidden in the depths of Netflix but to be honest this was a major disappointment to the franchise. Some things are better left alone.
